Explain Everything

Grade 4

The app Explain Everything is one of my favourite productivity apps, not only can teachers use it to create resources for students on just about anything, but students can also use it to explain their understanding of the subject or topic they have learnt. The movies created by students can also be shared with the class and used to reinforce the learning.

Below are some examples of how explain everything has been used in Grade 4

Maths

This movie shows a student explaining the left to right method

This movie demonstrates students explaining how the 6 move wipeout works

Unit Of Inquiry

The teacher has created a resource for students on Modern Pyramids based on the UOI topic "ancient civilisations", The teacher reads and asks the students to follow along. Whilst she reads, she stops to explain the meanings of important words that have been covered with students in prior lessons and asks the students to recall some of the important information shared beforehand.

The students are then asked to answer questions related to the topic covered. The teacher has used a variety of methods for students to research information on modern pyramids, such as, "Google image Search", use of the "Book Creator" app to collate all the information and present it.

Below is the Explain Everything resource the teacher created

Below is an example of the students' Digital Book
